Steamrail Victoria is a Voluntary Not-For-Profit organisation dedicated to the restoration and operation of vintage steam, diesel and electric locomotives and carriages. We operate all over the Victorian broad gauge network offering a variety of tours for all tastes. Steamrail runs regular day and occasional weekend tours to interesting and popular destinations.

Saturday 16th February 2008 Tour to Echuca - Jazz, Food and Wine Festival

Join Steamrail on the 16th of February 2008 for a trip to Echuca behind a V/Line Passenger A Class Locomotive.

Sit back and relax as we enjoy a nice fast speed to Echuca in Steamrail's S and K Cars. We will be traveling through the Melbourne Suburbs before the climb up and over the Great Dividing range to Bendigo, then along the flat part of Northern Victoria to Echuca.

Arrival into Echuca will be around midday, here you will have the option of going to the Echuca Wharf to have a look around the historic wharf area. The entry price also includes a ride on a Paddle Boat on the majestic Mighty Murray River. Or you might decide to check out the Jazz, Food and Wine Festival. The price also includes a glass to enjoy the Festival's finest.

Departure from Echuca will be around 5pm. Sit back and relax as the Northern Country scenery passes into the distance as we head back to Melbourne after a fantastic day at Echuca.

On arrival at Bendigo, an evening meal will be served on the platform if you choose this option. Then its back on the train for the run home.

Steamrails Historic K cars have opening windows which can be opened at any time by passengers, however you may choose to book a seat with air conditioning in a Historical S carriage at no extra cost. If you choose this option, please indicate this on the Booking Form.
